The Market-Garden
Heavily influenced by the pandemic’s food insecurity, our dependency on foreign farms, and the related economic and ecological impacts of shipping food, we are creating empty shelves and shortages across the food spectrum.
The Market-Garden concept was created during the “UMD Cooperative Extension Beginning Farmer” class Chris took during the pandemic. The pandemic and related difficulties weighed heavily on Chris’s decisions to focus on regenerative and intensive polyculture farming using the latest in smart agriculture practices.

Partnerships and Community
The Market-Garden is heavily focused on community, partnering with both Aaron’s Place and the Maryland Food Bank to reduce the dependence on store-bought foods from California, Mexico, and Argentina.
